Join
in the fun of Fruit Tree Wassailing!
This is an Old English tradition where a token fruit tree is the centre of our
rite. We sprinkle it with cider, to awaken its sleeping roots & sing (wassail
songs) to ensure a good crop.
Dressed in warm medieval attire come drink up the warm spiced cider & eat fruit
sweets at the after Wassailing party at Loxley Abbey.
We will Wassail a near by pear tree & 2 apple trees in walking distance from the
Abbey. Please bring a fruit snack for the after gathering.
